Custom Curricula/Arts Integration (PreK – 12th grade)

RMC is one of the fastest growing, most innovative, and most successful nonprofit community music schools in the country.   By not placing the value of a particular musical style above any other, RMC is able to engage hugely diverse audiences with whatever music and instrumentation most engages students and will have the greatest impact – all without neglecting the fundamentals.  Our commitment to providing outstanding musical experiences that are also affordable, accessible, and focused on THE STUDENT has proved to be a winning combination for dynamic and memorable experiences for all ages.

Is your school searching for a modern music program staffed by innovative, engaging teachers? Dare to Drum Assemblies (for all agesAges K-Adult)

  icon_learnmore_36

Francis Parker Event 083Dare to Drum is RMC’s hands-on drumming experinece, which serves as a powerful tool to promote equality. Whether it is provided as an assembly for a school, a team-buidling exercise for your faculty, or it includes parents and the community, the drumming experience promotes critical social skills that are useful in both work and community settings. Groups of any age or size can experience dramatic breakthroughs in the areas of listening, cooperative teamwork and respect for others’ viewpoints. The majority of the instruction is given using non-verbal communication such as eye contact and body language, so many who typically struggle in their everyday classroom and other environments often find their “voice” in this setting. Students perform as part of an ensemble, which helps them feel included by their peers. Students that wish to improvise and perform a solo in front of their peers gain an incredible boost in self-confidence. This program is a proven method to engage all of your students in a fun and unique music-making experience they will be sure to remember! RecordinginC-41-570x400_copyRMC can provide in-school music programs on your campus. Our innovative and enthusiastic teachers provide student-centered programming that achieve the highest levels of student engagement, without neglecting the fundamentals. We have many years of experience providing in-school music programs for several schools throughout San Diego County, including Greene Elementary, Kate Sessions Elementary, Porter Elementary and St. Charles Borromeo Academy. Our curriculum is designed to meet State and National standards in the Visual and Performing Arts and our specialists are eager to collaborate with classroom teachers to help integrate the arts into any school’s Common Core lesson plans. We help build 21-st century learning skills such as creativity and innovation. We supplement the cost of general music teachers provided to schools, making it an affordable solution for many schools lacking music programs. We are actively fundraising in order to place more arts educators in elementary schools currently seeking to add to their existing programming.
